Outings

Our residents are always able to spend time in Bramhope but for those who want to go further afield we organise regular outings. Popular destinations include Golden Acre Park, Bolton Abbey, Tropical World at Roundhay Park, Eden Camp and frequent trips to Stephen H. Smith’s Garden & Leisure Centre in Otley for coffee. Trips to the Theatre and lunch at local restaurants such as Murgatroyds in Yeadon are also popular. We hold Open Days three times a year where residents are able to welcome family and friends and, of course, we always celebrate Christmas and Easter with parties.

Activities

For those of our residents with a more outgoing attitude we provide activity in abundance. Those who wish for a less active stay can simply relax in the comfort and security offered.

A typical programme for a week might well be as follows:-

Monday
In the morning there would be Group Excercises and Discussion Session with Jan, our Activities Co-ordinator. After Lunch Quiz and Word Games and perhaps a stroll into the village.

Tuesday
Coffee Morning at a local Church Hall. In the afternoon Nail Treatments and a Tea Dance.

Wednesday
A quiet morning and, in the afternoon, our weekly happy hour with drinks and a singalong.

Thursday
Hairdressing and perhaps a visit to the Parish Church.

Friday
Our Chiropodist visits. Afternoon board games, a film or a quiz.

Saturday
As this is a popular visiting day there are no specific activities although activities such as crafts and board games are available.

Sunday
Sunday worship in the morning at one of the village churches. In the afternoon a reminiscing session.
